Recipients of Zakah

Recipients of Zakah

Thank God, For more details, the problems to anyone who is entitled to receive zakat, I will salinkan edition of the book of Indonesian Muslim Minhajul Encyclopedia Muslims by Sheikh Abu Bakr Jabir Al-Jazairi. Eight categories of zakat recipients is that Allaah has mentioned in His Book. Allah the Exalted says. “Which means: Verily it is zakat-alms to needy people, poor people, board-management of zakat, the converts who persuaded his heart, for the (freeing) of slaves, those who owe, to the way of God and the people which is on the way, as something that required an assessment of Allah. And Allah is Knower, Wise “[At-Taubah: 60] An explanation of the eight recipients are as follows. [1] Poor People. Indigent person is a person who does not have a property to meet his needs and the needs of the people he was responsible. Needs such as food, or drink, or clothing, or shelter, though he has a nishab property. [2] of the Poor. Could be the poor man kefakirannya lighter, or heavier than the poor. It’s just the law of both is one in all respects. Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam never defines the poor in the hadith-hadith, for example, he said. “Meaning: People are not poor people who traveled to humans and can be sent home by the bite of food, or two meals a bribe, or single dates, or two dates. But poor people are those who do not have the wealth that made him rich, is not known then to be given alms, and do not beg of men “[Narrated by Bukhari] [3] Management of Zakat. Namely zakat collectors, or people who collect them, or people who menakarnya, or author in the document. Officers were given the reward of alms Zakah in spite of the rich, because the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said. “It means: Alms (zakat) is not lawful for the wealthy except for five officers, people who buy with their wealth alms, people who owe, fighters in Allah’s way or the poor who give alms to him and then gave it to the rich” [Narrated by Ahmad] [4] The people who persuaded her heart. Those weak to-Islamannya and influential people in kaummnya. He was given a tithe to persuade his heart and pointed to Islam with the hope it useful for the crowds or the crime stops. Zakat should also be given to the Gentile believers who are expected to be or his people could believe. He was given a tithe to invite them to Islam and make them love Islam. Ration distribution can be extended to all those who can realize the benefit for Islam and Muslims, such as journalists or writers. [5] freeing a slave. What is meant by this point is that a Muslim has a slave, later bought from the money due, and set free in the way of Allah. Or he has mukatib slave (slave who freed himself by paying a sum of money to its owner), then he was given Zakat money can cover the needs of the payment himself, so he could become a free man. [6] The people who owe Among those who owe are not in the way of disobedience to Allah, His Messenger, and find it difficult to pay. He was given a tithe to pay off debts, because the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said. “Meaning: Asking ask for is not allowed except for three people: the very poor people, or people who owe a lot, or people who bear diyat (compensation because of injury, or murder)” [Reported At-Timridzi and he had-hasan it] [7] In the Path of Allah. Ie charitable deeds that led to the good pleasure of Allah Almighty and His Heaven, especially the jihad to elevate his sentence. So penjuang in the way of Allah Ta’ala even though he was given a tithe of the rich. This quota applies generally to all benefits-the common good of religion, such as building hospitals, building schools, and the construction of orphanages and orphans. But that should come first is related to jihad, misalya preparation of weapons, supplies, troops, and all of Jihad in the way of Allah Ta’ala. [8] Ibn Sabil. That is the traveler who is cut off from a far country. He was given a charity that can cover the needs in the midst of isolation even though he was rich in his country. He was given a tithe because he was threatened by the poor in this journey, and on condition that no one who loaned him the money that could meet his needs. If he allows could borrow money to someone, he was obliged to borrow and are not entitled to be given Zakat while he was rich in his country. Then, I summarize the additional notes from Shaykh Abu Bakr Jabir Al-Jazairi. Note. [1]. If a Muslim charity handed over his money to any group among the eight groups at the top, then legal. Only, he must give it to those who most need and greatest needs. If zakatnya the form of money, then he passed them out to each of the eight groups, then it is very good. [2]. Muslim men may not provide zakatnya to the person who shall he nafkahi, for example both parents, or children, and so on, as well as his wives, because he is obliged to support them. [5]. Zakah should not be given to the Gentiles, or the wicked like a man who left the prayer, people who make fun of the Islamic Shari’a, and so forth, because the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said. “Meaning: Zakat is taken from their rich people, and returned to their indigent people.” The point is that zakat is taken from the rich Muslims and to be returned to those needy Muslims. Zakat should not also be given to the rich and powerful people who can work, because the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said. “Meaning: The rich do not have a part to charity, and also people who can work UAT” [Narrated by Ahmad] The point person who can work in accordance with the level of adequacy. [6]. Zakat can not be transferred from one country to another away trip so far justified qashar prayers, or more, because the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said. “Meaning: Zakat is returned to the indigent persons they are” The scholars are excluded if the sector in a country no indigent people or a country has a great need, the charity may be in moving to the country in which there are needy people. This task is carried out priest (leader) or his representative. [8] Zakat is not valid unless the meniatkannya. If someone pays zakat without meniatkannya, it is not legitimate, because the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said. “Which means: Verily all the charitable deeds that must be with intent, and everyone was in accordance with his intentions.” So people who pay the zakat should meniatkan zakat as a liability of his property and meant to the good pleasure of God, because sincerity is a condition of receipt of all worship, and because Allah the Exalted says. “It means: Yet they were not ordered except to worship Allah with obedience to Him, purifying (only) with the straight religion” [Al-Bayyina: 5]
